Teaser_ICD_806x274_transparent

infoscore Consumer Data GmbH (ICD) faced the challenge of modernizing its IT infrastructure and increasing the availability of its applications. In close collaboration with Arvato Systems, an end-to-end solution was developed that not only increased availability from 99.5% to 99.7% but also ensured a stable and reliable 24/7 operational environment. Discover how this successful project was implemented.

The Advantages

Highly reliable and high-performance operation of a business-critical application
Maximum availability during peak periods such as Black Friday and Christmas sales
Predictive lifecycle management (e.g. with Varedy)
Long-term partnership and continuity

Project Overview

Initial situation

The infoscore Consumer Data GmbH (ICD) is a credit reporting company that is registered with the data protection supervisory authority and stores data for granting credit reports. The Informa Consumer Score predicts the likelihood of payment defaults. Since 2008, ICD has been operating its applications in the Arvato Systems data center. Due to the requirements of a 24/7 operation, a new IT service model has been implemented as an end-to-end solution, increasing availability from 99.5% to 99.7% and establishing new processes.

Vision

Due to the complex nature of the applications, 400 man-days were planned for the project. ICD, which has been continuously developed since the 1990s, required a new target architecture that included redundant servers and a complete acceptance environment. The main objective was to build a modern infrastructure to achieve high stability (SLA) and to take "soft" factors into account. Due to age, the number of experts at the customer was decreasing, so application support was gradually transferred to Arvato Systems. This posed a particular challenge for the project team, as both technical and specialist aspects had to be transferred.

Solution

The project was implemented extremely successfully in 2016 and 2017. All targets from the agreed scope document were achieved in a timely and innovative manner thanks to the high level of commitment of everyone involved. One outstanding result was the fulfillment of the customer's request to raise the service level (SLA) from 99.5% to 99.7% within the 24x7 service operation.

The applications hosted and operated by Arvato Systems in the data center are highly stable, enabling the customer to achieve a high degree of reliability and success in its business activities with its own customers.
