AEP.DataHub - IoT time series platform for energy suppliers
Regulatory compliant, interoperable, AI-capable - your platform for the energy world of tomorrow
Central Platform for Regulatory Compliant and Intelligent Time Series Data Processing
With the AEP.DataHub, we offer energy suppliers and grid operators a robust IoT platform for collecting, processing, analyzing, and visualizing time series data. Whether grid status data according to §14a EnWG, actual feed-in according to §9 EEG, or internal forecasts - AEP.DataHub processes data in real time and prepares it visually. The system supports various data sources such as SMGw, LoRaWAN, CSV, MSCONS, MQTT, and many more, and integrates seamlessly into existing system landscapes.
Weather data, electricity exchange prices, and forecasts from upstream systems can be processed, visualized, and analyzed with meter data.
Time series data is becoming increasingly important, be it consumption load profile, grid status data, log data, 15-minute exchange electricity prices, weather data, forecasts or operating data from various technical systems. Large volumes of data must be received, correlated, balanced and aggregated. On this basis, reports can be created, data-based decisions can be made via dashboards and a wide variety of target systems can be supplied with data.
Advantages for You as an Energy Supplier
Protected by regulations
Support for EnWG §14a, EEG §9, §12 and MsbG §34 - including visualization and storage of grid status data. Type 2 measured values, such as instantaneous active power, measured current value, frequency, voltage or reactive energy, can be received and displayed in addition to classic active energy.
Broad data integration
Reception and processing of various data sources such as SMGw, HEMS, CSV, MQTT, MSCONS, LoRaWAN and other protocols - can be used as a passive and active external market participant.
Real-time visualization and dashboards
Integrated dashboards with alarms, thresholds, map function and status widgets.
AI-enabled architecture
Integration of AI modules for anomaly detection, forecasting and replacement value generation.
Flexible modular system and open API
Open contract structure for integrating your own components and scripts (e.g. in JavaScript or Python).
Future-proof SaaS solution
Secured with hosted hardware security modules, 10 years of data retention, integration in IM4G, BDEW API, Meter2Cash processes.

Frequently Asked Questions About Datahub
-
How is the data transferred to the AEP.DataHub?
The connection is made via standardized interfaces. These include classic formats such as MSCONS, MQTT or CSV as well as direct API connections, for example from smart meter gateways (SMGWs). In this way, data can be flexibly and reliably integrated into the AEP.DataHub.
-
Can I create my own evaluations and dashboards?
Yes, the AEP.DataHub offers the option of using individual widgets, defining your own formula data points using JavaScript and creating completely user-defined dashboards directly in the UI. This allows evaluations and visualizations to be specifically adapted to the respective requirements.
-
What role does the AEP.DataHub play in the context of Section 14a EnWG?
The AEP.DataHub acts as a central platform for collecting, processing and visualizing grid status data. In addition, it supports the proof of controllability and thus makes a significant contribution to implementing the requirements of Section 14a EnWG.
