Atlassian - The Integrated Platform for Modern Working

The Atlassian product world provides companies with a modular platform for collaboration, project management, IT service, software development, and strategic planning. The individual tools interlock seamlessly and create end-to-end processes - from the initial idea to implementation in operation. Atlassian bundles its products into four strategic collections: Teamwork Collection, Service Collection, Software Collection, and Strategy Collection.

Jira

Jira is the central tool for agile project management and enables teams to plan, track and deliver work in a structured way. With functions such as backlogs, sprints, boards and roadmaps, it creates transparency about tasks and progress and supports both software development and business teams in achieving their goals. AI-supported features such as automated workflow creation, Rovo Project Management Skills and the generation of work items from images or Loom videos speed up day-to-day work.

Jira Service Management

Jira Service Management extends the platform to include IT and service support. Requests, faults and changes are recorded, managed and processed in the form of tickets. Standardized ITSM processes, automation, self-service portals and AI-supported virtual service agents enable service teams to work efficiently while ensuring high service quality. JSM is at the heart of the Atlassian Service Collection.

Jira Align

At a strategic level, Jira Align complements the platform as part of the Atlassian Strategy Collection (Align, Focus, Talent). It establishes the link between corporate strategy and operational implementation and enables organizations to scale agile frameworks such as SAFe and synchronize portfolio, program and team work. Bitbucket

For software development, Bitbucket offers a central platform for managing source code. Git-based version control, pull requests and integrated code reviews enable structured collaboration between developers. Bitbucket pipelines support automated build and deployment processes. AI-supported features such as automatic PR descriptions and Rovo Dev for code reviews and pipeline diagnostics make Bitbucket a central component of modern DevOps environments. Bitbucket is part of the Atlassian Software Collection.

Confluence

Confluence is the central knowledge platform in which teams create, share and jointly develop documentation. Pages, spaces, whiteboards, databases and live docs create a structured and easily accessible knowledge base that is closely linked to Jira. AI-supported functions such as automatic summaries, content creation and intelligent search via Rovo make knowledge actively usable.

Loom

Atlassian Loom extends communication with an AI-supported video and meeting intelligence component. Users can create screen and video recordings, automatically record meetings in Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams and receive AI-generated summaries, action items and recaps. Jira work items and Confluence pages can be created from videos with a single click. Loom is part of the Atlassian Teamwork Collection.

Rovo

Atlassian Rovo is the AI platform that connects all Atlassian tools via the Teamwork Graph. Rovo consists of four core components: Search for intelligent enterprise search across 50+ data sources, Chat for conversational AI with direct action execution, Agents as AI team members for automated workflows, and Studio for creating your own agents and automations - with or without code. Rovo Dev complements the platform as an AI agent specifically for software developers. Rovo is included in all paid Atlassian Cloud editions.

Atlassian Guard

Atlassian Guard is the central security and governance solution for the Atlassian Cloud. Guard Standard offers SSO, SCIM, MFA, API Token Controls and Data Security Policies. Guard Premium extends protection with data classification, content scanning, SIEM integrations (Splunk, Sumo Logic), automated threat prevention and complete user activity audit logs. Guard Standard is already included in Cloud Enterprise and the Teamwork Collection.

Compass / DX

Compass is Atlassian's internal developer portal for managing software components, teams and engineering health. It provides a central catalog of all services, scorecards for DevOps health and templates for standardized development. From May 2026, Compass will be replaced by DX - the next generation for developer experience, AI-powered software health improvement and engineering productivity. Compass and DX are part of the Atlassian Software Collection.
