Project Overview

Initial situation

Storage operations at ADAC - both in the 1,700 road patrol vehicles and in the 300 supply warehouses - were previously carried out using paper-based methods. In order to increase efficiency, a digital solution was sought that would enable semi-automated replenishment control and transparent inventory management. The integration of the decentralized storage areas was to be strengthened as well as the efficiency of the entire logistics chain.

Vision

The ADAC pursued the goal of raising its logistics processes to a new level with a digital platform. The focus was on maximum transparency, automated replenishment processes and holistic support for all parties involved - from the road patrol drivers to central logistics. A modern, scalable solution was to create the basis for high-performance and future-oriented warehouse management.

Solution

With platbricks®, the warehouse management of ADAC cloud-based, automated and the module Field Service Management introduced. The switch to a cloud-enabled merchandise management & POS system, the SAP connection and the adaptation of the platbricks® app and the control station enable real-time inventory management.

Mobile applications for roadside assistance drivers and warehouse staff replace paper-based processes, reduce errors, and automate replenishment. Digital control processes ensure additional security and efficiency. The solution creates maximum transparency, optimizes inventories, and supports the supply of roadside assistance vehicles at the highest level.

Our services

The platbricks® solution developed for ADAC enables fully digital inventory management for road patrol vehicles and supply depots. Using a mobile application, the road patrol drivers record their material movements directly on site, while automated stock reconciliation with SAP ensures precise and transparent warehouse management. A digitally controlled replenishment process ensures efficient supply to the warehouses and prevents bottlenecks.

Of particular note is the digital dual control principle for material removal, which we implemented for ADAC to increase process reliability. The role-based user administration makes it easy to manage the more than 2,000 users. Thanks to seamless integration into existing systems, all stock movements are recorded and processed in real time.
