Logistics 4.0
Digital transformation in logistics
Are You Ready for Logistics 4.0?
Our society is on the brink of a technical revolution. Breakthroughs in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, robotics, the Internet of Things, self-driving cars, 3D printing, nanotechnology and biotechnology, wearables, energy storage, and quantum computing will fundamentally change our entire way of life. Digital Transformation and heightening competition require companies to optimize their business processes through digitalization and give them an incentive to develop new business models.
We see ourselves as a partner, trailblazer, and innovator for solutions in the field of Digital Transformation. Our solutions network business processes, make data ‘navigable,’ create transparency, and facilitate precise process control.
Our Tools
platbricks
We have developed a cloud-based platform that offers standard interfaces to ERP/WMS systems, a control center based on real data, expandable process logistics, and extensive configuration options in order to thoroughly digitalize business processes.
platbricks, the Arvato Smart Logistics Platform, is a digital, modular system that can be used to orchestrate departmental and company-wide logistics processes, as well as to execute these in a mobile fashion via smart wearables. Meanwhile, a process configurator offers a catalog of preconfigured settings options that you can use to customize processes. One of the configurator’s core features is the option to select among various verification methods, such as swiping motions, pattern, color, or letter codes, check digits, scanning, or touch-free methods using NFC.
Digital Intralogistics Models – The Key to the Warehouse 4.0
Arvato Systems’ portfolio includes a range of ‘Logistics planning 4.0’ services based on innovative IT technologies and a comprehensive, inexpensive planning approach to logistics processes in companies.
We support you through every phase of the project, from planning to commissioning. Along the way, we use tools such as modeling, animation, simulation, and emulation of logistic processes. For example, we use virtual reality elements as a clear basis of communication, thereby ensuring ‘tangible’ results during project implementation..
DiWA - Digital intelligent Warehouse Assistant
Collecting and assigning data and information within logistics processes is essential for the day-to-day supply chain business. At the same time, the speed of information transfer is becoming increasingly important. Logistics managers need the right information at the right time in order to make decisions and solve problems. Our Digital intelligent Warehouse Assistant (DiWA) is a logistics chatbot that quickly and intuitively provides the information you need. Chatbots are robots that engage in dialogs with users, enabling automated communication between people and IT systems via messenger-like systems on smartphones, PCs, and tablets.
Chatbots receive initial training. Over time, DiWA learns to recognize the context surrounding questions and, among other things, provides information on warehouse spaces, assignment status, products, batch numbers, inventories, processing statuses, deliveries, shipments, material classifications, performance, personnel resources, and more.
On Your Mark, Get Set, Go!
Competitions, ranking lists or tables, progress displays, and award ceremonies can significantly increase user motivation and have a positive impact on their behavior. Introducing these measures can boost productivity and streamline workflows.
Conveying information in a playful way makes it easier to absorb. It’s in people’s nature to want to play games. Tiresome and monotonous tasks are turned into something enjoyable by setting targets or receiving feedback and rewards in the form of points, rankings, or distinctions. The result? Employees have more fun at work, they have more motivation, and they can perform at a higher level.
