Arvato Systems developed a new showcase featuring a Cognitive Bot Platform which makes an extensive set of chat and phone bots easy to create, to use and, most importantly, to maintain and that without a high level of IT expertise or even an expensive software development project. The Cognitive Bot Platform was built based on our multi-cloud approach and thus, provides enormous flexibility by breaking any dependency on only a single cloud platform. Instead, it leverages various benefits from already existing bot services, based on the user’s preference.
The flexible self-service of the Cognitive Bot Platform includes a neutral content management system for multiple bots, which in turn can be connected via various channels and thus, guarantees the multi-cloud approach. As there are no external dependencies, different systems for natural language processing (NLP) can be integrated. Also, third-party systems can be connected via API interfaces and which not only allows the connection of chatbot users to the cognitive bot but also telephone bot users. Examples for such third-party systems are existing chat and phone bots such as IBM Watson Assistant, Amazon Lex, Microsoft LUIS, Google Dialogflow. The Cognitive Bot Platform also allows the connection to popular services such as Microsoft’s Skype for business or WhatsApp. The multi-cloud platform solution represents the complete process of bots, making the individual bot technologies interchangeable to benefit from the best innovation in the market.
This development is focusing on a current gap in the bot market as there is still no comparable platform focusing on the self-application and maintenance of bots by the user. The development of our Cognitive Bot Platform and the current bot market can be compared to the website creation market about six years ago. At that time, only experts with IT and website know-how used to be able to develop and create websites. Within the years more tools became accessible to individuals who then had the options to build their website quickly and at low cost. Those tools became a gamechanger and a disruption of the market. Our Cognitive Bot Platform shows similar advantages as it provides cost optimization through short setup times, the availability of almost all bots in one platform which can then be personalized and maintained by the user.
