Smoothly Transition from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA with the Help of Arvato Systems
Generally speaking, when it comes to conversion, we differentiate between greenfield (new implementation, hence ‘green field’) and brownfield (migration of an existing SAP ERP system) approaches.
The greenfield approach provides an opportunity to analyze existing business processes and therefore carry out a process redesign if this is necessary. At the same time, this approach makes it easier to part with interfaces or features that are no longer used, since the system is rebuilt from the ground up and ‘legacy issues’ are automatically eliminated.
We support you as you switch to SAP S/4HANA – a process analogous to an upgrade or migration – through an agile, highly effective five-stage system conversion (brownfield approach). The existing system landscape (configuration, data, and expansions) remains largely intact. Experience has shown that brownfield migration is more complex, since it requires a high level of master data quality and can, for instance, also entail additional tasks in terms of client vendor integration or proprietary developments.
